Stowe is just a 45-minute drive from Burlington International Airport (BTV), a full-service international airport located in the Burlington, Vermont area. Direct flights from major cities include Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Newark, New York (JFK and LGA), Orlando, Philadelphia, Toronto and Washington, DC. These cities are access points to other worldwide destinations. Several ground transportation options are available to get to Stowe from the airport.

Once arrived in Burlington Airport, you can either rent a car, Uber, or contact the Topnotch Resort Concierge, Carol, at (802) 253-6497 to coordinate a shuttle with the hotel.

Stowe has its own local airport that’s just a quick seven-minute drive from Stowe village. The Morrisville-Stowe State Airport (MVL) is a full-service airport built 40 years ago that provides a personalized experience with magnificent views along the way. Stowe Aviation manages MVL and works with private charters that roll out the red carpet with special craft beverages on-board and convenient transportation to your next Stowe destination. The Morrisville-Stowe State Airport also has car rentals available to get around Stowe.


By Car / By Train

Stowe is between a 5 to 6 hour drive from the New York / New Jersey area including approximately $30 worth in tolls. While lengthy, once you in get in Vermont- the drive is quite spectacular!

Topnotch Resort is a comfortable and scenic drive via interstate highways from New England, New York and Montreal…located 5 miles from Stowe Village on Route 108 (Mountain Road), just 10 miles north of the Waterbury exit (Exit 10) off I-89

Amtrak’s “The Vermonter” runs daily between Washington D.C and St. Albans in Northern Vermont with a stop in Waterbury, which is about 30 minutes from Topnotch Resort

Keep an eye out for flights as rates tend to spike once 2 months out. We love to utilize the direct flights from Atlanta or the New York airports to the Burlington Airport. If you have the time, extend your trip a night or two and enjoy Burlington! It is a lively city on the water and will offer you the Vermont lake front experience — full of great food, music, shopping, and views!
